I actually know someone that bought an Elantra instead cause a few of the Dodge dealerships in their area didn't have a Dart with all the options they wanted.

The Darts that are in lots are up to what dealers order. Dealers have to know what their customers want for configurations and base their dealer lot orders off that. That being said, yes I know earlier Dodge was forcing certain configurations down dealers throats, but I think that was simply a supply chain and model ramp up issue. As the Dart gets going with all models in full swing I think you'll see less and less of this.

Yup, just a matter of time. Also as mentioned in another post Dodge hasn't done a good job at supplying Darts fitted with things people want it to have, there are Darts sitting on dealer lots but none that anyone wants.

By now Dodge should be getting idea of what someone interested in the Dart is going to want. Like I said 2013 is when it's going to shine!

Automatics are still making their way onto dealer lots as well. Previously, you saw mostly 6-speed manuals. Give the car will take off.

I think I know why, the Dart has been experiencing some issues, bad enough that it's discouraging a number of people from buying it right now.

December might see some improvement, but I think 2013 is when it will shine.

Dodge Dart Sales Slipped in November

The Dodge Dart is the brand’s newest entry into the compact sedan market, and despite the brand adding a third shift to the Illinois plant where the compact is built, sales slowed down in November.

Dodge moved 4,489 Darts in November, about 1,000 less than the 5,455 it sold in October. The third shift was added at the plant to accommodate for high sales forecasts is November, which were not met.

    Chrysler doesn’t seem worried, though.

“We are expecting a strong December as the industry continues to recover from the East Coast hurricane and consumers continue to respond to our popular year-end ‘Big Finish’ (sales) event,” Chrysler’s head of U.S. sales Reid Bigland said.

Though the Dart took a small hit, other Chrysler vehicles still performed well, with the brand marking its best November sales since 2007.
